In every test of an imported league that I have tried, if I run the sim over 20 years, the BA and ERA steadily increase until the league BA is over .290 and the league ERA is around 6.00. In every prior version (and from what I think the current version's manual is saying), if the League Totals in setup never change, then you should always wind up with similar results year after year (within reason). This has borne out for us over 9 simulated seasons with OOTP 5, 6 and 6.5.
The only two things I changed from default after import were:
1. Setting the League Totals to match our year-end totals for the last season played prior to import.
2. Setting the League Totals Modifier for Strikeouts to .800
I found that if I did not do these two things, then the ERA's were way to low and K's were way too hight at the beginning of the sim. There were 8 or 9 pitchers with 300+ strikeouts and well over 10 with sub-2.00 ERA's. But that's not the point. It doesn't matter what I did to the League Totals, I should get the same results every season, and that's not happening.
I will try this with the default MAL quickstart that comes with the game to see if it's just with the imported league that this occurs.

"Beings will come, Frodo. The one constant through all the years has been baseball. Middle Earth has rolled by like an army of Mumakil. It has been erased like a slate, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Frodo. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... beings will come Frodo. Beings will most definitely come." -
