There does seem to be a bit of a problem with these non-standard saves.
The rookie of the year in a recent season happened to be a reliever, and the news of his award included something like "he earned 1 save in no opportunities".

Turns out that it was a three-inning save that apparently didn't get credited as a SVO.
I'll profess a high degree of ignorance on the intricacies of the Save statistic, but even if a reliever comes into a situation that can't result in a blown save or a hold to be credited (e.g. 6-2 lead, none on), in case he turns it into a successful 3+ inning save, that should still be a SVO, right?
