In the bottom of the 8th inning of a recent game after giving up a run or two in the top half of the inning I put in my closer, even though I was at bat. Just wanted to make the move. He pitches a perfect inning and I win the game, he gets the save. He is, for some reason, charged with an earned run.

So, he pitches one inning of ball. In the inning he pitches no runs are scored. He has 1 ER.

On top of that, my pitchers had a cumulative 9 ER (great, I know), even though I won the game 11-8.

Interestingly, I also had a strange error in the 8th inning of another game. I'm rallying, have one on, one out and my best hitter up. Here's the dialogue I get: "Swings...the top of the 8th is over." ARGH! That weird glitch cost me a win!
