Ok, well... I'm good to go now. Here is the synopsis:

Trashed all versions and re-downloaded them.
Installed the game file.
Installed the patch.
Launched... black screen!
Noticed OOTP folder from patch was in original OOTP folder.
Tried to move it... froze up!

Trashed them all again.
Re-installed new d/l of <b>game file only</b>.
Launched it... works and shows that the new full game file is the new version without installing the patch (?!?!?).

Ran game and it seems to be fine.

Notes: I've been told the Mac version doesn't need to be unlicensed. All you need to do is trash the files/folders and re-install. Still subject to the 2 computer install, somehow (at least I'm told).

I did not copy the e-license file to the new install and all I did was re-enter the serial number at start up and like I said, I'm good to go.

I'd suggest only installing the new d/l of the game file and not the patch if you can. Then launch it to see what version shows in the bottom left hand corner at start up.
