I don't think this is a bug -- this is the way it would look IRL. When a player is traded from the NL to AL or visa versa his stats for the new league revert to zeros. If he had enough AB for qualified rankings or just had good enough stats to be in the rankings (ie HRs) he will stay on the leader boards of the league he was traded away from until somebody passes him or he is no longer qualified for that league.

As a matter of fact I believe Willie McGee one year was leading the NL in hitting while playing with the Oakland A's because he was traded mid-season.

This seems to be a fix from the older versions of the game because it is wrong to have the stats cross-over from league to league. In the past if a player in the NL had hit 25 HRs and was traded mid-season he would carry those stats to the AL, and could possibly be the league leader in that league before even having an AB with his new team.
