You're more than welcome to put this in as a suggestion for future versions, but this will not be changed in a patch to OOTPB 2006.

That's a shame, would have been nice, I have no problems checking and unchecking the box, you just have to wait until the next set of play by play, before you can check stats ect.
Another suggestion, why can't you show both the batter and pitcher in the SION Broadcast at the same time, instead of having a show pitcher/show batter button.
