Here's another one ...
... for Mike's 1910-1919 flyweight files -- Johnny Rosner, who fought and lost in the first IBU flyweight world title fight. Sorry, once again no pic.
What I'm finding, more for the guys of that era even than my 1940s universe, is that these guys didn't stay in one weight class and it's hard to define a true fly because the ones I've looked at so far (Ash, Rosner, working on Frankie Mason and Roy Moore) all fought guys anywhere from paperweight to lightweight, bouncing between classes freely.
For instance, this guy fought Wilde, Herman, Coulon, Mason, Pancho, Montreal, Genaro, Burns, Buff, Dunn, Zulu Kid and Murray ... guys who are listed anywhere from fly to lightweight.
