Do you have a filter on by any chance? They stay on in the game until you turn them off and this can cause a whole list to disappear (happened to me in the past before I knew what I was doing). If you just DL'd the game last week you should have 1.0.3 which is the most current version. Next time you start it up look in the bottom left corner of the screen before hitting continue or load game.
