I'm not sure why/how you consider this bad design. If someone is simming ahead I wouldn't think they would normally want the simming to stop whenever a game is going to be played. I could understand a request for more options under the "stop simming if..." category for the beginning of spring training and/or the beginning of the regular season or something but these are typically days people would auto-sim
to not past so I don't see any fault in it not being there at the moment.
*Edit* - And I had forgotten about the auto-sim to spring training option, so as I said, I don't think "bad design" is the case at all for this situation.
