2. Select "Properties"
3. Click on the "Advanced" Tab.
4. Click on the Performance "Settings" Button
5. Click on the "Data Execution Prevention" Tab
6. Select the "Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only"

Try running the application again and see if you get an error.

Checked that DEP is set to "turn on DEP for essential sevices only" - this was in the original post, but thanks for the idea.
