I have gotten the same error. Here is some more detail from another post I made before I saw this thread:

There is a strange anomaly whereby if I look at the transactions page for a team, the roster is full. But then if you go to the league schedule and try to quick-play the game, it gives the error message. If you click the team link from the schedule page and go to the team's home page, and click the roster, then suddenly it is empty. Going to the transactions page via this route shows that all the players are on the DFA list. VERY bizarre.
