I'm using 80% of the default 1901 settings.(this is just a test of 1860's 'settings' with short season - 60 games) Team ended up with a .232 BA but scored 4.4 runs per game.

....but he was just put on the major league roster the day before.
He got a 2nd batter of the month award, after going 1 for 6.

The Outstanding Hitter for the Year, never got a Batter of the Month!!!!!
