In my historical replay that honor would have to go to LF Chris Duncan of the Colorado Rockies. In his first season in the majors (2005) Duncan eclipsed Ryan Klesko's 11 year old homerun record by 1 and bettered Babe Ruth's 84 year old RBI record by 8. Obviously he was the NL ROY. Here's his main stats

149 games, 201 H, 27 2B, 2 3B, 67 HR, 170 RBI, 134 R, .352/.426/.758, 96.2 VORP
