The Bruiser

Still More characters:

The Dublin Slasher
HW best prospect ever managed by Haney prior to Rory, died early. Wild. Women lead to his ruin. Fast in ring. Never backed up, all out attack.
Had great ring sense, knew within 30 seconds when a round would end. Cyclone. Never got tired or flustered. Graceful. Loyal to Haney. Charged with a false rap by a New York outfit that tried to take him over. Beat the rap but his mother cracked and died. her death effected him. A great ladies man Went to the mountains to recover, stole an Italians girlfriend and was shot to death with a Flobert rifle. Ko'd Jack Dolan. Compared to Rory in skill.

Barney McCoy
MW loses decison to Rory in an Elks Lounge smoker in Omaha. WD 10 in rematch. KO'd 1 in third. On Rory's comeback tour in Frisco. Instead of dropping in 6 KO'd in 11. Loses despite the cross.

John Atkins
HW challenger. LD to Lang. Vicious rushing fighter who crowds opponents. Lang content to win and not go for KO. 6 losses or NDs to Lang

Nealy Rogan
HW fought Bangor Lang 4 times in 4 yrs. Punchy the last 2 bouts. Raspy throat and would stagger around for a couple of rounds before getting going.

Curley Roberts
semi fighter died in a pre-lim before one of Lang's bouts. No weight given.

Gining us:

Curley Roberts BW 1 Slugger
Nealy Rogan HW 3 Slugger
John Atkins HW 5 Slugger
Barney McCoy MW 5 Either
The Dublin Slasher HW 9 Slugger
