I did a quick search and didn't see this anywhere; I apologize if this old.

I recently noticed that my hard drive was being accessed a lot so I downloaded process monitor. According to this program, OOTP is accessing my hard drive every 30 seconds or so even when I am not playing the game.

Is there any reason that this should be happening?
