They made the playoffs in '73 and '74. '96, '03, '04, '07 (as the Nationals, obviously). Their top five hitters by VORP: Juan Rivera, Lance Parrish, Bobby Valentine, Kevin Millar, Nick Esasky. As for pitchers, Frank Seminara went 251-202 with a 3.35 ERA. Steve Howe got 556 saves. Seminara wound up with 940 VORP, followed by Mark Portugal at 537 and Byleleven, Steve Howe and Mike Paul in the mid-300s.

Rogers went 205-185, 3.98 over 3493 IP. He never put together a string of strong seasons but would instead pitch a few decent years, one good year, a few bad years, a few decent years, etc.

Tim Wallach had 537 career hits for the White Sox from '79 through '85. 1980 was his only real productive season at .304/.352/.507 - 24 HRs, 101 RBIs and a career high 2 steals.
