Have you tried running a league from 1901-2007 using fictional players. I'm curious if it's the roster set that's giving you these results along with your development settings. I noticed when I use the Lahman database I get a lot of players with long careers, 3000 hits, 300 wins, etc. I noticed after 2007 when the fictional players where introduced to the league, that careers were shorter and fewer players were playing 20+ seasons. I think of the problems with the Lahman database is many new player's ratings are at a major league level which means guys are in the bigs a season or 2 early. You've got me curious now. I'm to run a few leagues and mess with the aging. I've been using the Lahman database, but if someone wants to recomend an alternate and tell me where to download it I'll try it and post results.
Kelric, I saw your post about Dick Radatz. That guy was a 300 game winner in my league, and was a closer for 3 seasons. He was also 4th all time in K's.
