It takes an extremely long time to finish. You need to let it run overnight and perhaps even at home during the day while you are at work. Once it is finished make sure you make a copy/backup so you can start over without having to reload it all. It takes so long because the stats of all the players have to be loaded up and if you think about how many players that is then you can see why it takes so long. I really wish there was a way to do that part of the game faster because it is almost an unusable feature.
