Somehow the saved league file became corrupted.
I had to completely uninstall/reinstall for a similar issue.
There's just so much stuff that is being processed. That's why during the loading screen, one of the main hints is `
be sure to backup your league regularly', they don't specify as to why, but obviously, it's in case a saved league file becomes corrupted.
