Coleman Voted Top Tycobbian Player
Bayview's first baseman, 34-year-old Dwayne Coleman is this week's Star of the Week in the Tycobbian Union. The towering 6'8" Coleman lashed out a .435 batting average this past week to capture the honor. He had 10 hits, 3 homers and 9 RBIs.
Coleman is hitting .301 for the season with 21 roundtrippers, 56 RBIs and has scored 44 times for the second place Vikings.
He is running second to Fairfax's right fielder Greg Vincent in home runs and RBIs. Vincent leads with 23 homers and 61 RBIs.
Sunbirds Swift Ruthlandian Player of the Week
The Ruthlandian Union has selected 24-year-old Nicky Swift of the Belair Beach Sunbirds the Player of the Week.
The slugging right fielder hit .462 (12-26) this past week, collected 13 RBIs, scored 9 runs and hit 4 homers.
Thus far this season Swift had batted .339 with 20 home runs and 48 RBIs. He leads the RU in homers and is ranked in fourth in RBIs. Belair Beach is currently in third place in the RU South Division, six games off the pace.
