I am beginning to feel the same frustration. Spent long hours bringing my historical league from 1871 to 1896, adding minor leagues as the player database grew, making sure the stadia and team names were historically accurate.
Then this morning I loaded the new patch. When I tried to load my saved game, I received this message:
"DATABASE::load_database - could not load world file."
When I click OK, I receive this message:
"The loading of the database failed. It is either corrupt [wasn't just an hour ago] or a save-game from an old version [no ****, Charlene]."
I tried copying and pasting the world.dat file from a different league. No dice. Now what? This league represents my fifth or sixth do-over, and I am
not going to start another.
