Back when the AFL began and was a seperate league, prior to Super Bowls, their games were televised opposite NFL games on Sundays. Due to the cockeyed approach to life taken by the NFL, home games weren't televised so I could only listen to Jack Brickhouse and Irv Kupcinet give me my beloved Bears' home games on radio. I watched a lot of early AFL and, since they weren't rivals at the time, latched onto the Chargers as my favorite AFL club. Earl Faison, Ernie Ladd, Paul Lowe, Lance Alworth, Dickie Harris, and Keith Lincoln were a big part of my youth. Still remember the Keith Lincoln title game vs. the Pats.
