I had that very same thing happen to me with a restored backup after a database corruption. Doesn't make a bit of sense since the backup should be ok, but it always crashes too. I have now become accustomed to CTRL-ALT-DELETE to exit the game so that it will not autosave. While I have had a database corruption during a normal save, it only happened once out of 4 total corruptions so it is a bit more safe. I sure hope they fix this issue soon.
