It seemed like, in my v8 online leagues, not everything would get updated when I clicked to update my online league files. For example, player photos didn't always seem to update to the latest version. This might have been due to certain settings, either on the league's part, or on mine.

Yes, 09 updates any changes by simply having GM choose update league file from inside the game. It does include all the images. But BD is right that the images are large and seem to be part of each transmission, whether you update photos or not. I might turn images off just to see how slim the file becomes.
