Sorry for not being around the last three days or so.
Hurricane Gustav caused some severe problems in my area. Baton Rouge got the worst storm it has ever had in recent times...last 30 years.
Say a prayer for the people in the Baton Rouge area and also South Louisiana. New Orleans came through fine, I think.
No problem for me. My house suffered no damage, but we were told it might take up to 8 weeks to get power to our house. We were very, very lucky. We got power back in just a few days.
We just were mildly uncomfortable for 2 and a half days. No power, no tv, no air conditioning. It was just hot and humid with no cold drinks or water.
However, they had to rush me to the emergency room - no OOTPB.
Turns out I was suffering from severe anxiety caused by acute computer game addiction. Many times this is fatal, but they saved me by breaking out an old APBA board game and got me under control. Part of the therapy was looking at a blank monitor and sitting in front of a keyboard, pretending to play OOTPB. The doctor said it would fool my brain, since it cannot tell the difference between something that you imagine and something that is really happening. It's called Psycho Cybernetics or something like that.
I am OK...at least for now. They say relapses are likely.
