Bucs Lyons Named TU Star of the Week
George Lyons went on a week-long tirade against the Tycobbian Union pitchers and was acclaimed the Player of the Week. The Bay St. Clair first baseman was hot as a firecracker, exploding with a .424 average, 2 home runs and 6 RBIs. For the week Lyons bashed out 14 hits in 33 at-bats and scored 12 runs. So far this year in 83 games Lyons is hitting .255 with 18 home runs, 50 RBIs and 53 runs scored.

Gravelli Honored by Ruthlandian Union
The Ruthlandian Union announced today that Phil Gravelli, the 17-year-old first baseman of the Belair Beach Sunbirds, earned Player of the Week honors for his performance over the past seven days. During the week Gravelli hit .436 with 4 home runs, 11 RBIs and 9 runs scored. Gravelli is hitting .331 this year with 19 home runs and 52 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .348, 9 walks and scored 35 times.
