Well, chalk it up to some odd glitch, as I can't seem to duplicate it anymore.
Changed things back to split season, it worked fine.
Created a new league with the MAL, couldn't duplicate the problem.
I'll play around again and see if I can duplicate it again, otherwise, just a burp I suppose.
