My current solo league:

Had a pitcher, forgot who, pitched 11 1/3 innings of no-hit ball with one walk. In the 12th with one out, he allowed a single, RP came in and let the runner score. He lost 1-0. Ouch. I did not play this game.

One I did play was interesting. I lost the game 2-1 in the last of the ninth when my pitcher balked with a runner on 3rd base. Ouch!

The low scores are typical of this league, as it was started in 1968 and it is in 1974 now.

I originally had a historical player inaug draft in 68, and built a staff of Gibson, Guidry, Cuellar and Palmer. (sweet). Reggie was my offense. I lost Reggie for the season during spring training and Gibson won 25 for me. Mayberry stepped for and took over the power hitting spot on the club. I ended up 3 games out of 1st.

I then resigned and the next year, the AI lead my designed team to the WS and they won it all.

I then simmed a couple more years and took over for an Expansion team. I ended up building a pretty decent team. The team did pretty decent, finishing in 3rd place. So, I resigned and the AI lead them to the playoffs, where they lost, the next year.
