Ginza Beats Fairfax 4-3 in Game 7, Makes Final 4
The tough Ginza Ninjas trailed Fairfax three games to none, but didn't give up. The Ninjas turned it around and won the last four games to take the Elite 8 Series and move on to the Final 4. They took game seven 4-3 on Kaz Ojima's solo home run in the top of the ninth. Starter Kaz Matsumoto worked a solid seven innings holding Fairfax to two runs and six hits. None of the runs were earned. He departed with the scored knotted at 2-2. Emil Kreskas (1-1 4.15) got the win, but gave up a run in the eighth to blow a 3-2 lead. Ginza piled up 12 hits to 9 for the Frogs, sparked by Ojima (.452) with 4 hits, two runs scored and an RBI. First baseman Kenshin Yamamoto (.286) and left fielder Charlie Campbell (.300) chipped in with two hits and an RBI apiece. Fairfax took an early 2-0 lead in the second on Louis Ward's (.320) two-run triple. The Ninjas evened the score at 2-2 in the fifth, took the lead again 3-2 in the top of the eighth, only to see the Frogs tie it up again in the bottom of the inning on left fielder Gator Davis' (.261) single. Fairfax used four pitchers with the loss going to Ted Ellison (1-1 5.40), who gave up the game-winning home run.

Ginza will now do battle with on old enemy, the South Fork Stallions. South Fork won the Tycobbian Union East Division by five games over the second place Ninjas. They will meet in the Final 4 Series for the right to play for the Islandian Pro Cup, emblematic of the top professional team in Islandia. Ginza won the season series 19-11.
