Would any of the editions from OOTP6 thru 8 be capable of uploading from the latest 2008 Lahman?

I wish this would be fixed in a patch for OOTP9, as our league doesn't want to have to wait until mid-year next year (a.k.a. probable OOTP10 release) to start our season.

The workaround works, but I want to be able to upload the complete and accurate pre-2009 histories for players.
