Favre is experiencing a two fold issue here.
1. Increased media exposure. In NY, he's most certainly under more scrutiny.
2. New teammates who do not 'know' Brett.
I think, rather than being aloof, you could say that Brett is of a different generation than most of his teammates. Why would a 40 year old want to 'hang out' with those in their early 20s most of the time?
He has a family. He wants to be with that family when he's off work, just as most of us do.
These guys don't know this about Brett and in Green Bay, I'm sure the same was true, but everyone (who'd been there any time at all) knew this and it was an accepted fact of life. Being in New York, not only is it bigger news (and pushed to the forefront), but teammates are much more likely to say something about it given their location and familiarity with Favre.
