Well, I dont think he would have trouble on a mental level. But, the body does start breaking down at that age. I think rest could help a player under certain circumstances, if they were younger.

Maybe if an independent team wanted to give him a shot (like Henderson/Strawberry and Bonds was willing to do it) and he proved to be close to 2007 form. An AL team might get interested (though very unlikely, barring injury plagues). Though even if Bonds did start out if he hadnt had offers after a month or 2, I dont see his ego taking him any farther down that path.

It is time to accept that it is the end of Bonds.
