Sugar Valley Rattlers Romp To RU East Title

The Sugar Valley Rattlers withstood all comers and came away with the Ruthlandian East title, winning it by six games over the Elnora All-Stars... Rounding out the top four teams were third place Eastshore and fourth place Cold Creek... The Elegants were 9 games back and the Catamonts ended the regular season 13 games out. In the opening round of the IPA playoffs, it will be the Rattlers opposing Cold Creek and Elnora battling Eastshore.

The Sugar Valley Rattlers played solid and consistent ball throughout the entire season... Skipper Gibson Bobkins' ball club was pushed until mid-season, but they slowly pulled away from the other clubs in the second half of the campaign... The Rattlers were in first at the All-Star break, but five teams were within 4 games of one another.
