TU Golden Glove Award Selections Announced
Defense is a critical element in the game of baseball. Many times late in the game, a light-hitting defensive specialist will be inserted in place of a superstar hitter. Good defenders are worth their weight in gold and today the best of them for 2002 have been recognized. Tonight these players will receive the Tycobbian Union Golden Glove Award at the BNN ceremonies:

Pitcher: Tal Vaitkus (Hartsdale Hellcats) 1.000 FA (17-17 3.40 ERA)
Catcher: Trace Crittenden (Turon Typhoons) .995 FA, 48% RTO (.321 BA)
First Baseman: Boots Dubois (Turon Typhoons) .996 FA (.282 BA)
Second Baseman: Ed Granberg (High Mesa Cowboys) .990 FA (.325 BA)
Third Baseman: Howie Partridge (High Mesa Cowboys) .970 FA (.231 BA)
