I'm pretty sure this is not Bill Sweeney who played for Detroit (1928) and Boston Red Sox (1930-31). William Joseph Sweeney was born 12-29-1903. The above photo is Red Sox uniform circa 1912-1916. This is probably William Andrew Sweeney, born 10-12-1888, who appeared in 11 games for the 1914 Red Sox.
