Nice photo can anyone identify the players? We may get some better photos of players. Thanks.

1888 Syracuse Stars

Stunning image is a first generation as this was from the actual photographic studio that took the shot. Ryder of Syracuse, New York is emblazoned on the mount in sumptuous gold leaf. Team includes Moses Fleetwood Walker the man who broke the first color barrier and was exploited by Cap Anson to create the send one. Balance of this International Association Championship team are Ed Dundon, Mox McQuery, Bones Ely, Bill Higgins, Ollie Beard, Murphy, Rasty Wright, Charles Hackett, Joe Battin, Ed Mars?, Al Schellhase and a second African American player, Robert Higgins. Historically important piece.
My best guess from the names captioned at the bottom is that the identities pretty much match the order in your listing:-

Back :- Walker, Dundon, McQuery, Ely, W.Higgins
Middle :- Beard, Murphy, Wright, Hackett (Mgr), Battin, Mars
Front :- R.Higgins, Schellhase

I suspect the Murphy is Con Murphy.
