Tycobbian Union South Division 2004 Final Standings
Cape Coral TU South Champs, Runner-up Colchester Makes Playoffs
Start to finish the Cape Coral Hurricanes dominated the Tycobbian Union, but the Colchester Elites kept them on their toes the entire year. The Elites stayed real close until mid-season, just one game off the pace, but dipped a little in the second half, eventually finishing 6 games behind. The Hurricanes closed with a flourish, registering a strong 48-27 record in July, August and September. Colchester wasn't too far behind with a 44-31 mark. Cape Coral won 94 games, second-best in the IPA to the Bayview Vikings, the TU West champions, who copped 96 victories.
Both South Division clubs will be in action today as the IPA Sweet 16 Series begins. Cape Coral will be in Luxora and Colchester will be at home, hosting the Oxford Red Caps, the TU North winner. They will be best-of-five series.
