A very thoughtful, well-writtern response, SamuraiProgrammer. As a new customer, you have a valuable perspective on this issue. Most of us here are "the choir", so to speak; we're already converts and probably have been for awhile now, so it can be a little hard for us to step back and think about what needs to happen to create a new market for the game. And that's exactly what needs to happen if OOTP is going to grow the way we all want it to.

What you're suggesting here is spot on. I'm actually in the process of discussing OOTP marketing with my league. I think I'll link them to your post to provide ideas of what we should be thinking about.
