Ruthlandian Union

Leaderboards Around the Ruthlandian Union
The Islandian Pro Alliance is down to just three games to go in the 2005 season and like the many close races still going on for Pro Cup playoff spots, they are quite a few battles going on to determine the statistical league leaders.

In the Ruthlandian Union LF Jet Kazmarek of Valmara is in line for his fourth straight batting title. Kazmarek is hitting .350 with three games to go and has an 11-point lead over second place SS Don Nichols of Marston, who is batting .339. Far Mountain 1B Royce Benson is third with a .336 batting average. Benson was injured in August and will be out for several more weeks with a fractured hand. If the Redhawks go deep into the Pro Cup playoffs, he may rejoin the club early in October.

It's a tight race in the home run category with Middlefield rookie third sacker Charlie Gamble (.323 BA) leading with 48 roundtrippers, followed by Taranto RF Tony Blaser (.310 BA) with 45 and Belair Beach 1B Phil Gravelli (.330 BA) and Taranto LF Dominic Zuccaro (.333 BA) tied with 44 each.

Heading the RU leaderboard in RBIs is 1B Johnny Carducci (.299 BA) of San Dimas with 138. Second place is held by Zuccaro (.333 BA) of Taranto with 131.

In th pitching department the leaders with the most victories are Slim Mosley (23-6 2.39) of Belair Beach, Gary Hill (23-8 3.84) of Waleska, Gregg Neal (23-9 2.78) of Sugar Valley and Ray Watson (23-9 2.84) of Belair Beach.

The top ERAs belong to Payton Saunders (14-5 2.37) of Cold Creek, Slim Mosley (23-6 2.39) of Belair Beach, Hec Skurgan (17-6 2.46) of Sugar Valley, Hunk Schweitzer (13-11 2.50) of LaGrange and Tiny Lundgren (21-10 2.52) of Belair Beach.
