I dont use ( or properly understand the mechanics of ) feeder leagues, so that portion of your question will need to be addressed by other, more knowledgeable folks than I. That being said, I have often added historical players out of context both into fictional and historifictional leagues.

The only significant issue that has arisen is that you have to import the player from his rookie season unless youre willing to overlook the historical stats that will be dragged along with him upon import. Short of doing some sort of export-edit-delete-reimport samba, I dont know how to prevent this, at least within the context of the in-game db.

Perhaps Spritz, with his loquacialistic databasedextrousity, can offer other solutions.
