Tycobbian Union North Division
Oxford's Second Half Surge Wins TU North, Hartsdale Runner-up
The Oxford Red Caps came on strong in August and September with a 30-15 record and overtook the Hartsdale Hellcats to win the Tycobbian Union North title. It's Campy Roy's third pennant in five years. The Red Caps finished four games ahead of the Hellcats, 12 games up on third place Luxora and 16 in front of fourth place North Hills. The Hellcats (20-25), Zorros (22-23) and Hawks (21-24) all faded in the second half of the season.
Oxford and Hartsdale will be the TU North Pro Cup representatives in the coming postseason playoffs to determine the best pro team in the Islands. The IPA Pro Cup playoffs begin tomorrow.
