Ruthlandian Union South Division

St. John Back On Top, Wins RU South Flag
Longtime powers Belair Beach and Claxton stumbled a little and Valka fell into free agent oblivion in the 2007 Ruthlandian Union South race. That made way for division doormats St. John and Grand City to rise up and past them. The Crusaders, managed by Dickie Billings, won the pennant by 4 games over Grand City. Claxton dipped to third place, 6 games behind, Belair Beach was fourth and 7 games out, while vaunted Valka plunged to the basement, 26 games off the pace. St. John won the division in 2003. Since then they have been relegated to the division's lower rungs.

Lost 19-game winner Johnny Spears in free agency... great pitching dipped to below average this year (4.19 ERA)...
