Menke in "Sports Tales and Anecdotes" p. 121-122 relates a story about this guy told by manager Billy Gibson. Gibson in his early days at Fairmont AC booked local lads. Buck Hagan specialized in getting KO'd and his act was popular with the fans because of the flair in which he conducted his pratfalls. After 15 straight KO loses he was booked against another flop
artist. The fighters were told neither would get paid if they didn't go 4 rounds. In that frame buck came out holding his left in front of himself. His opponent shoved his chin into Buck's left hand giving Buck his only KO win. Buck retired in disgust with his streak of flops broken.
