Pro Cup Playoffs Begin, 8 Teams Tangle For IPA Championship
The Islandian Pro Alliance playoffs start today! Only a handful of teams remain in the running for the ultimate prize - the Pro Cup. It's playoff time. A time of glory and victory awaits one of the 8 clubs. The team that rises to each eventful occasion - the team that makes all the right plays at the right time. The defending IPA champions, the Wynnamac Sundowners, failed to win its division and will not defend its crown. They lost out by one game to the Belle Plaine Musketeers. However, last season's Pro Cup runner-up, the Denton City Redbirds, will get another crack at the Island title.
Today is the start of the Islandian Pro Alliance Elite 8 Series. Each series will be the best-of-seven. In the opening round of Ruthlandian Union games the Claxton Diamonds will meet the Far Mountain Redhawks in Far Mountain and Belle Plaine travels to the Colfax Blasters. Over in the Tycobbian Union the schedule pits Red Bluff at Denton City and Turon at Hartsdale.
