IPA Awards Gold Gloves
There were four repeat winners in the Golden Glove poll. SS Trevor Tomlinson of Denton City was selected for the fourth time, SS Danny Church of Marston gained his third Golden Glove and Fairfax RF Dane Wesner and Far Mountain 2B Duane Parsons were named for the second time. All other selections were first time honorees.

RU Golden Glove Award Winners Announced
On the defensive side of the game pitchers always get the glory, but the best pitchers know their success hinges on the gloves behind them. The defensive dream team in the Ruthlandian Union for 2009 has been announced, and the Golden Glove Award trophies will be presented to these outstanding fielders:

Pitcher: Todd Wolfe (Volusia Vigilantes) .972 FA
Catcher: Tino Leonetti (Colfax Blasters) .999 FA/50% RTO
First Baseman: Ricky Page (Elnora All-Stars) .995 FA
Second Baseman: Duane Parsons (Far Mountain Redhawks) .983 FA
