NOT TO BE DENIED BUMS MOVE ON

Sandy Amoros had a relatively short major league career, but one thing he did have alot of is the flair for the dramatic during a big game. Amoros hit a three run home run in the 4th inning off of Mike Hampton, enough to give a comfortable lead to the Dodgers, who held on for the win and the series by a score of 7-5.

Carl Furillo added a 2 run double in the 2nd inning and the Dodgers clearly had the worried and slumping Mets on the ropes. The Mets looked deflated after their game 4 loss at Shea, and a lack of confidence showed on the field as Mike Hampton didnt have his best stuff.

So like the 54 Giants the Dodgers barely move on which is all anyone will remember. Roy Campenella gets the deserved series MVP award for his great handeling behind the plate and timely hitting.
