It's not on
the list, but the 1400 and 1600 are.
Apparently the video card problem was only to do with facegen though and it was 3 years ago so any problems with video cards have probably been worked out by now.

EDIT: It might be worth making sure you have the latest drivers for your video card just in case it is a problem with your card. I know when other games of mine have problems freezing that it's usually due to my poor video card because a little error msg pops up about it.
