Apparently each play gets a rating, and a player's rating for the game is equal to the total of all their play ratings in that game. Usually they post a list of the highest rated Mets' hitter and pitcher, lowest rated player (sometimes both hitter and pitcher), best play, worst play, and who (on either team) had the game winning rbi.
