The 10/5 rule is a neat addition. However, are players given a real option whether or not to accept a trade or do they still just reject every trade that they are allowed to reject? Is there some sort of morale/desire for winning team/home town proximity sort of calculation being run?
Given the inclusion of this rule, would it be difficult to also include the MLB restriction on trading newly signed free agents (who played for a different team the previous season) for a couple of months into the regular season? This would prevent teams from signing players to be immediately used as trade value.
