Second thought would be, in what year did the first fictional player occur (e.g. was there a or more fictional players in 1902) and what was the last real player taken. That might point to a bad record in the DB(the players taken for that year will need to be looked at alphabetically to find the bad record). Once it gets an error it will just stay with fictional.

I always have my first year player draft on Christmas day - it is easy to remember, and I know I have to have it before Jan 1.
Every player taken in the 1902 draft was real, and every player taken in the 1903 draft was fictional.
I have an idea though, thanks to this suggestion. I edited the debut dates in master.csv, but that is all I edited. I did not touch the batting.csv, etc. The first guy in the 1903 draft (alphabetically) should have been Ed Abbaticchio, who was edited, so maybe that screwed things up. I will try changing all of his information to see if that helps. I don't know why it wasn't a problem in 1902 though, there were plenty of guys that got pushed back to 1902.
